Black-figure sherd
Zeus has been seated. He is represented with head in
profile to the right. The god has a headband tied around his
head.
Athena is represented emerging from the head of Zeus, the head
in profile to the right, the body facing. The legs have not
yet appeared. Her dress presumably consists of a peplos. She
wears a helmet and carries a shield on the left arm, the right
arm raised.
At the left side of the fragment, a hand, presumably of a goddess, is visible, palm turned outward and extended fingers.
